Why would people bother with 2wd versions of big tractors like these?

well,in the states at big farms in the mid west,some of these tractors are doing manly row crop work wich is no problem on dry ground and its a much more handyer tractor to turn at the ends.

Ok thanks,

I know that 2wd tractors are good for drilling, being easier to turn at the headlands (here that is ok in autumn when it is dry but not too good in spring, when conditions are wetter).
