Re: 6480 50kph?????
there's an 50 km/h version available of the 6400 series,
with front axle suspension :-D. This is a dyna-6 version,
the dynashift (4 steps) version is not made any more... I
thought... I heard something about that.

Re: 6480 50kph?????
Hello,
I've got a friend who works for an MF dealer and they had
a 7480 (normaly 50k) doing about 60mph apparently. Dont know
exactly how they did it though I'm afraid. Something to do
with removing or replacing some chip governing the fuel
pump. Apparently it can be done and then changed back
without any evidence, so warenty claims would not be
rejected. Sounds too good to be true to me.
:-\
Dont know if it would increase the speed of a 6480 but
surely if its got an overdrive gear its possible somehow.

Re: 6480 50kph?????
changing the engine-management might be possible, but i'm
sure that it is possible for the dealer to see that you did
that, so the warranty is gone.

the other option is ofcourse to put it on a lowdeck-trailer
towed by descent tractor, like a fendt 614 from 15 years ago
running 50-:D

In a few years it is the same tractor in red or green.

Re: 6480 50kph?????
Owain: That is possible yes. The 7495 from my boss also go's
60kmph. If you puth only bigger tires on you can go faster
but the Vario computer disables speed at 50kmph. You can
easily change this and let it drive much more faster.

Re: 6480 50kph?????
I thought that by putting 650 42s instead of standard 38s on
the 6480 it would go faster but i was more intrested in
gettin the 50km/h first then putting the bigger tires on
it!!!!

Re: 6480 50kph?????
Don't ask me how I found out but........
On the right of the dash there is a button which alters the
information in the right hand lcd window. If you press this
for 15 seconds or more the display will change to speed
calibration mode. You should first mark out a 100m track. If
you press the button as you pass the start mark then again
at the end mark and once again to store the information then
the speedometer will be calibrated for tyre size fitted. Now
it strikes me that if you mark a 110m course for it, the
tractor will assume it is going slower than it actually is
and so the 40kph display will be at 44 or 45 actual kph.
This is only a theory of mine and I hold no responsibility
etc.
Do bare in mind that the braking system is not really up to
higher speeds than 40kph as the front axles are not yet
fitted with brakes.
