Re: 7020
jdeere, i dont agree with you. The tractor on the picture of edwin could be an 7020 too. The first 7020 had an intercooler like the 4620, and a rosamaster rotary type fuel injection pump, the latest 7020 got an intercooler like the 7520/6030 and a bosch in-line fuel injection pump mounted on a 404cu engine.
This tractor is running at the farm i work for.

Re: 7020
okay, dident know that.thoutthey had the same engine all the time.
cause they have diff.shape of the intercooler, but i guess the smaller motor made to much trouble so they switchet later.

Re: 7020
One guy close to me has 2 or 3 7020's and he is very pleased with them...

He bought two that he drove home on a trailor. From 2 made one that eorks, and he liked that one so much, that he found the missing parts for second one. I know for sure that one is operational, and the other from time to time.

Rumors say that he found third tractor like that and bought it, but I don't believe that.

I vill go and take some pictures of it, if he lets me...

Re: 7020
Oh, I just now saw that you replied at this post...

He bought them all in Croatia. I think from some big government farm which was scrapping them, and he bought them for little money... He even got duals on them ;-)

I still plan to go and take photos. I even think I will go there this week on business, and i wil stom at his farm.

Regarding the 43/4620's I never saw a 2WD JD over here, just 4WD models, and mostly bigger models 120+HP...

Best regards from Croatia!

Re: 7020
okay sounds good,i was reading the book from a former Schlüter demo driver and he wrote, when they demoed there tractors back in the late 60's in former yugoslavia,JD demoed the 4320 but had not much chance in wet conditions with there hydro driven FWA. :-(
thats why they dident sold any back then. :-\

Re: 7020
I don't know how good hydro driven FWD, but I don't like the idea of it...

I think they had a chance, but were too expensive for our farmers. Tractors that were working on big farms were domestic "Torpedo", and Yugoslavian "IMT". Just after the war (1991-1995) JD came to big farms, because torpedo was not good for massive field work... Remaining Torpedo's haul fuel for JD's ploughing in the fields...
