Re: 16V-747
Hi jdeere!
what kind of engine trouble they haved at 1100HP?
I know Detroit 2t diesel engine needs a lot of fuel: one of
my friends works on a crane-pontoon in Venice's lagoon,
powered by a Detroit diesel 2t engine, it has a lot of rpm,
incredible! but an enourmous consumption of fuel!!
How much fuel needs a BigBud 16v for one hours of average
work?
greetings from Italy

Re: 16V-747
Crankshaft berings dident hold.
dont know how much fuel its uesing, but wont be much more
than any other engine that size!
they dont have more RPM about 2500,it just sounds like
more,because its a 2-stroke.
in the 80`s when that tractor was build was not really any
thin else on the market wich woud fit!

Re: 16V-747
Ya. the detrote was a good motor but a 2 stroke burns more
fuel and is not as efficent as a 4 stroke......good motor
tho....in alberta in the 1980's is the oil patch thats all
they used.

Re: 16V-747
I need help! I am looking for a 650/50 for construction use down in Oklahoma. I am going to put together a pull pan setup. I know Big Equipment has 1, but I think $$220,000 is a little bit more than I wanna pay for a 15 to 20 year old machine, for that price I would have to own it for life. Dont get me wrong I think they build very stout tractors, but thats probably what it cost new. I think these stout tractors and pull pans could give Big Equipment a great boost, if there were more out there. Please email with any info, pics or call would love to here any ideas or info. will pay a finders fee landclearing@hotmail.com or 405-249-2248
