Re: 3588 all done
I agree,
to Brian, did you rebuild the original(466cu.?)IH-engine?
and what was broken?
Re: 3588 all done
Thank you for the comments. I am new on this so I am not
sure how to post more than one on the same thing but I think
it works this way too. What happened was the lower radiator
hose blew last summer on that tractor so it lost all of the
water right away and cooked the engine. I rebuilt the
origional engine, and it turned out really nice. got a lot
of horsepower. check out thsi picture i took of the dyno, it
turned out a lot better than i expected it too for an old
farm tractor :-D
Re: 3588 all done
Al rigth, this one is stock around 150HP only?
Re: 3588 all done
Yep, brand new rated was 145-150 hp. It has the 466 engine
and I have it set to 2650rpm and the pump at 18* btdc like
its supposed to but it still is putting out that much
horsepower so I guess Im happy with the overhaul job. I
would like to do that 6588 next and get that one fixed up.
THe paint on it is really good so it just needs a buff job
and a new set of decals. Does anyone know where I can find a
set of 6588 decals without spending $350.00??
