Re: gleaner
Hey,

I would pay to harvest in a field like this :-P

In my town the fields are very small. A "big field" is more
or less 6 or 7 acres. :-(

Re: gleaner
Sebas,

Aren't you on the Combine talk show? I believe I have seen
some of your posts. It amazes me how inmature some of those
guys on that forum are! I am registered for the site, but I
rarely post for that reason. As far as the size of the
fields, where I live, the fields are not huge, they average
about 30-40 acres per field, somewhere in that range. One
more question, are there any Gleaner combines where you
live? We have an R62 and what a beast it is.:-D

Re: gleaner
Yes they are nice combines, and I have been in fields where
4 or 5 of them are working, but next time, please give Kinze
MFG out of Williamsburg Iowa some credit FOR STEALING THEIR
PHOTO!

Re: gleaner
A few Gleaner combines were tried in Scandinavia at one
time. They were never sucessfull.
There is hardly and corn/maize around here and the straw is
longer and moisturecontent usually higher. Rotaries have a
hard time in such conditions.

Re: gleaner
Hey Lance...

Yes, I'm the same guy in Combine talk show. :-)

I'm from Catalonia, that's in spain. I've never see a
Gleaner here. I think they never sold combines in Spain. I'm
a Deutz man and I always read the posts of the Gleaner with
Deutz engine :-D

One time a saw a White 2-180? in a town near mine. I love
it!!! It's the only White I know in this part of the world.
I also saw a small Allis-Charlmers with a gas engine.

Re: gleaner
Johan,

That kind of confuses me why that guy would say that. Maybe
because I was talking to Sebas about how inmature some guys
are on another agricultural message boards. I don't know.
Yep that photo is from a kinze grain cart brochure. I have
that same piece of literature. Sebas, I didn't think that
there were any Gleaners in Europe. I just wanted
confirmation on that. Thanks guys.
