BoB6620 281821 392 NH 7840 either
NH 7840
this NH 7840 was owned by the same man who has the TM 125
the 7840 is doing 160hp but when its running it makes a
sound like its goin to blow up :-[
Re: NH 7840
knowing ford's it probably will!!
Re: NH 7840
nice to know that is coming from a zetor man!!!!!! :-p
Re: NH 7840
The engine will be fine but the rest of it could grenade,
especially the axles, with 160hp or more going through it.
It probably drinks like a fish as well, which is
'not-a-good-thing' just now.
Re: NH 7840
Zetors are best tractors in the world!!!! If you bothered
to try one you would say the same!! A nice name wont make
something go any better you know!! I think its just this
"Look at me" personality of todays youth!! myself
included!!! that makes zetors look bad? anyway you
should try one before dissing it! our contractor had a
ford 7600 and it blew up every year! we still have an
old ford digger though! its just this "tweeking" that
buggers them up? A Zetor is the most comertable tractor
you can get! Honest! Just try one!! thats all i ask!!!
Re: NH 7840
I tried one

and they suck

when I pulled on the handbrake the spring shooted out of the
Re: NH 7840
i don't think zetors ever will blow up, but i know it's not
the most comfertable tractor:-\
Re: NH 7840
Did you know john deere sold zetors for a long time as JD
They just painted them green and stuck "JOHN DEERE" on the
side!! they also did it with renault. Anyway Just
because the spring came out of the handbrake you think they
suck? what about the pto pack in john deere 2850 and 2140
that blows up at exactly 10,000 hours? Or the front axle
pivot in MF 3655? Or the "cardboard
box" engine blocks in the 1980s fords? everything has a
weak point. You can even get parts for some Zetors at JD
dealer!!! for double the price!!!! just because they
have jd on the box!!
Re: NH 7840
offcourse i know, but they haven't been sold in europe, and
for renault it was the the ceres, there drives one around
here, only reason they bought it was because of the height,
and the owner thinks it's crap

and if you wan't to name al the weak points, the autopowr
that JD uses in the 6010 and 6020 series(from ZF) had alot
of problems
there is a 6820 in my town that has it's 3rd gearbox:-\
Re: NH 7840
I think i'll stick to my newhollands thanks. zetors seem to
have a badddd reputation where-ever they are talked about.
We have a 7840 sle which has been fitted with a turbo, but i
dont think that it is putting nearly as much as 160hp more
like 125-130 maybe??
I dont think zetors are comparable to any newholland ever
made! hehe :-P
Re: NH 7840
of course you would!! your name is "new holland guy"!!! im
just saying everything has a bad point, nothing is perfect.
But reputation is nothing! fords have bad reputation-
(engine blocks) zetor have bad reputation- some idiot said
they are cheap? (thats why i have zetors, they cost less
than a set of tyres!!) massey have bad reputation- (high
cost of parts) deere have bad reputation- cant think of
one right now!! anyway reputation, its a bit of rivalry
made up by someone that dosent like something, (or
someone)!! anyway, remember the old saying "dont judge a
book by its cover"? I know its a load of b****CKS but
anyway you stick to fords I'll stick to zetors
