Re: MF 7490
I have been driving one of these today in Wales, UK.

It must rate as one of the best, if not *the* best tractor
in its class available today at any price. :-P

Re: MF 7490
Well blow me down with a feather. You and Profi are quick
off the mark. Someone told me there was an embargo on this
thing until the first of June.
I guess that Profi will not be trusted with such news in
future.

Re: MF 7490

little drive to my self ok it had a lemken 3m drill on the
back and a front press going down the road at 50K is not to
be tryed even in daylight never mined at nite :-[ the only
masseys we have in the yard is a 3085 and 135 scraper
tractor but thing mite be looking up because my dad is
thinking of getting a 7490 to repacle the TM150 puting 205
HP at the shaft for lifting silage can any one tell me would
she would the 7490 be like for that job

Re: MF 7490
A TM150 putting out over 200hp at the shaft is taking the
piss. No wonder NH is getting such a poor reliability
reputation. It is not their fault if idiot owners allow such
tampering.

My 7490 outputs 180hp at the shaft and drives a Mengele 40
harvester. Or it would do if it didn't rain every day :-\

It is superb on this job and it is run behind a twin rotor
rake. Generally I tend to tow the 8 to 12 ton trailers
behind rather than side load. This saves a man and tractor
but does lose around 2 hectares of output per day due to the
one minute it takes to swap trailers every load.

Re: MF 7490
An 8560 with 253 at the shaft! You're having a laugh mate.
I have an 8360 which has the same front axle and PTO
driveline but a smaller rear axle reduction gear set.
Mine outputs a healthy 140pto hp but you could fry an egg on
the gearbox when working hard. It also drinks diesel at a
frightening rate and uses more diesel per hour when pulling
hard at high revs than either the 160pto hp Same Titan 160
or the 180 pto hp MF7490 which I also own.
