Bizon Rekord Z058
I apologize for the poor quality of this picture, which is a
20 year old newspaper cutting, but I thought it worth
showing for two reasons. It shows a Bizon awaiting despatch
from the factory, with various access flaps open. Also,
despite the fact that this is a black & white picture, I
think (judging by the shade of the paintwork) that this was
one of a small number of Z058s to be painted yellow (rather
than the more usual red or horrible 1980s orangey-yellow).
The first Z058 that I saw was a brand new yellow one in
Poland in 1982.
Re: Bizon Rekord Z058
Most of the yellow ZO56 were exported to the Czech Republic.
What was interesting, they were usually equipped with some
red parts (e.g.straw chopper). THe mixture of colours :-\
Re: Bizon Rekord Z058
Were Z056s or Z058s exported to Czechoslovakia? Do you know
how many went there?
Re: Bizon Rekord Z058
Unfortunately, I do not know how many were sold to former
However, now one can buy a very good machine there (Z056
were equipped with hydraulic brakes :-) like in Z058, and
automatic grain pipe mechanism - I hope You can understand
me :-)
Most of them were Z058; mountains in Southern Part of the
Czech Republic => brakes, stronger SW 680 with 120 hp were
also seen as a great advantage. However, Z056 were also
It seems that exported version were of better quality and
were all equipped with driver's cab :-)
Once I saw some pictures from a farm in Czech Rebublic. The
owner was really satisfied with his machines.
Re: Bizon Rekord Z058
I saw a '5056' (Danish export version of the Z056) on a farm
near Warsaw in 1999. This was a 1986 model and had the same
gearbox, hydraulic clutch and hydraulic (tractor) brakes as
a Z058. Did the Czech 56s also have a 58 gearbox? I was
surprised to read in your reply that they also had a
hydralic grain unloading pipe. The Danish 56 I saw had the
original manually operated pipe. Did the Czech 56s have a
taller grain tank (3,000 litre capacity instead of 2,500
litres) like the ones that went to Britain and Denmark? It
would be nice to see some pictures of the Czech machines.
Re: Bizon Rekord Z058
The ZO56 sent to the Czech Republic were similar to 5056
Danish export version. Hydraulic brakes were made by Ursus
(the same as in tractors).

I am not sure about the gear box in ZO56. What I know, the
gear box in ZO58 seems to be more efficient in "hard working
conditions2 (i.e. mountains). So I can only assume that if
more ZO58 were sold, ZO56s were not equipped with better
gear box :-( But it is only my assumption and please correct
me if I am wrong!
The machines I saw had a hydralic grain unloading pipe.

It was the same construction as normal (outside the
construction, not as in ZO58) but I cooperated with
hydraulic mechanism (sorry but I do not know the english
equivalent for that word :-( I am not native -please forgive
me). Simple construction that made life easier!!!

I am not sure if they had a taller grain tank (3,000 litre
capacity instead of 2,500litres). If I manage to find
something, I will send the link.
