Howard Dungledozer at Pirton Rally, Herts, England in 1972.
Made in WW2 to speed up loading of manure from heaps onto
carts, based on Fordson N (Petrol/TVO), used Howard Rotaped
tracks (used later on Howard Drainage machines). Steering
wheel virtually useless, as so much weight on back end,
steering brakes used, could spin in its own length. Transfer
box giving 3 VERY slow reverse speeds for going into muck
heap. Owned by Engineering Society at Silsoe College in
Bedfordshire, I used to take it to rallies. I know only of
this Dungledozer still existing, there are images on this
site of it in recent years after a repaint. Photo shows me
driving with Paul Radmall passenger.
