Howard Dungledozer & Overtime at Pirton, 1972
Howard Dungledozer [left] and Overtime (aka Waterloo Boy)
Pirton Rally, Herts, England in 1972. Dungledozer made in
WW2 to speed up loading of manure from heaps onto carts,
based on Fordson N (Petrol/TVO), used Howard Rotaped tracks
(used later on Howard Drainage machines). Steering wheel
virtually useless, as so much weight on back end, steering
brakes used, could spin in its own length. Transfer box
giving 3 VERY slow reverse speeds for going into muck heap.
Both owned by Engineering Society at Silsoe College in
Bedfordshire, I used to take the Dungledozer to rallies.
Photo shows me driving (virtually almost hidden) with Paul
Radmall passenger David Williams & Henry Gunston on
