Re: Case IH MXM 140
can someone tell me the diff.between MX,MXM and MXU
Re: Case IH MXM 140
The MX is the old series produced by CaseIH and now by McCormick. The MXM and TM (New Holland) are the same and are originally New Holland tractors. The same is for the MXU which is the TSA in the NH stable. The MXM is higher in HP's then the MXU's

Re: Case IH MXM 140
Franke summed it up pretty good, I'll add a little though just cause.

The old CaseIH MX series went from I believe went from 95 - 135. When these were produced New Holland had the 8060 series, also known as the Gemini (remember the NH 8070s which preceded the TGs were know as the Genesis). These eventually changed over into the first generation TMs in 2000 (115, 125, 135, 150, 165).

The MXM were introduced in I'm think 2003, along with the second generation TM's. With this new change, there were two separate frame sizes. Small frame had the 120, 130, 140, 155, and the large the 175 and 190 models. These are the same tractors produced today, with numerous updates. Over time, the new T7000 and Pumas will phase out the TM/MXM series, although I'm not sure when this will be.

The MXU and TS-A models are totally new and came after CNH's big release in 2003. They originally included the 100, 115, 125, and 135 models, however now after 2006 there are more models, including things like "Limited" and "Plus" models. These cabs can now be found on the T7000 unchanged, and the Puma with a modified (improvement) interior.

And now of course, for the North America market, Case is producing their high-horsepower MFWDs (8000 series equivalent) the MX215-305.

More than you wanted to know! :-[
