Re: please give me some information
Engine and axles and PTO drive are good for many hours. I
have seen them with few problems with up to 12000 hours.
Depending on the gearbox, there could be a few things to
look out for. If it is a synchro box with dual power
[dual-command or whatever they call it] check out the
synchromesh, especially on the shuttle [forward/reverse]
gear. If this fails it is very expensive to repair. Tractors
that have done much loader work or baled in hilly areas
might have done much shuttling. Otherwise they are very
strong tractors which are good for a very long life indeed
if driven sensibly and maintained properly.

Re: please give me some information
Watch the reversing.. the shifter between forward and
reverse, that one often failes after a few years

Re: please give me some information
On the 7840 i drove a few years back, i kept getting
transmission error codes.... :-\ That was an SLE with 4
powershift gears though...

Re: please give me some information
Most NH drivers soon learn to ignore the many error codes.
My 8360 regularly displays around four error codes but works
perfectly.
As I said, watch out for the forward/reverse synchroniser as
a wear point, not just on dual power but also on
electroshift models. I am not sure if yours is young enough
to be fitted with a proper power-shuttle but I doubt it.

Re: please give me some information
That codes are the same in every NH.. P32 is an example..
;-) A Thrue NH driver knows this one... :-P

@ Wouter: I Know mostely it's nothing serieus but it is
starting to get irritating (or something) after a While...
;-) We drive only two NH's (M160 / M115 ) from the first
series and further only JD's but they alsow have there
problems... ;-)

@ Huw: That are only the people that know tractors only from
a brochure... Those that actually work with them know that
the perfect tractor hasn't been made yet... ;-)
I like working with the Deere tractor's a lot and I do think
they're pretty fine to but I'm also not affraid to admit
also a Deere has it's bad points.. :-)

Re: please give me some information
As said look out for the forward/reserve gear handle, my
neigbour has one (a 6640 Powerstar SLE) and it does nou work
properly.

One verry good point of that tracktor are the clutch-plates
? (In dutch koppelingsplaten). The tracktor was at the
dealer last jear for some problems (afortunally I don't knew
anymore witch.. :-\) but thay had tou split the tracktor. my
neigbour told them to change the clutch plates in once, as
the body was in 2 parts, but the plates were still 80% !!
Ant that after allmost 6000 ouers!

Martijn, no need to be embarrassed. Your English is very
good and understandable. Not perfect, but better than some
English and Americans here :-P

No, despite the flag, I am not English and do not speak
English as my first language either, but it is a good
language to communicate internationally. Thank you for your
effort.
