hi Mal! Do you work for JD townley? They are a pretty big
operation around that part of the country! Im from Bangor
and we use James Townley, he is a smaller contractor from
donaghadee! You have probably heard of Horners? Apparently
they put in 147 acres of first cut grass in one day! Thats
good going! Would be good to hear from you!

thats good going but how long of a day would it take to pick
up that amount of silage ? I`d say you would have an early
start !;-)

we put in about 50 acres in about 8 hours and we do the
silage on our own with this beast the 10x. Oh yea...

hi alan. in canada the grass hasnt got as much wet matter. the emerald isle recieves a lot of rain so our silage cuts have a reasonably big crop on them taking longer to lift.
