What kind of beans are those? Roundup Ready? Conventional?
Organic? IP? Seedbeans? Why are you cultivating.

Re: Cultivating Beans/ Bonen Schoffelen
wij hebben 120 hectare bonen staan ongeveer, 2 quarters.
en tuurlijk past hij tussen de rijen met zn dubbellucht,
daar staan de banden ook op afgestelt.

those beans are pinto beans. we cultivate them to remove the
wrong plants(vuil in dutch, can't remember the word). and
yes, we spray with roundup too, beans are ideal to clean out
your fields, you can kill all the plants except the beans.
where do you farm canadian farmer?

Re: Cultivating Beans/ Bonen Schoffelen
ja tuurlijk krijg je dat weg, je cultiveert toch elk jaar!
maar het is een prima gewas om je land een beetje vuilvrij
te krijgen:-)

Re: Cultivating Beans/ Bonen Schoffelen
We farm in S-W Ontario. Beans really like it when you can
cultivate them. I tried one year but I don't have the right
equipment for it...
Organic beans are becomming more popular over here. Even the
'big'guys are starting with it now.(???)
Beans-wheat-corn hasn't been too good for the past few
years. It will turn around again some day......
In the meantime, I will stick with Chickens and
Lucerne(alfalfa hay)

yes they do like it very much, we could see it in the days
after, they grew a lot faster, and the beans are blooming
now too:-D
