Re: imt 549 ploughing
i was forgot wrote in last post that imt doesn't produce
only mf 35 based traktors because they make traktors based
on a few more mf types : 165 ( imt 560) and 175 (imt 577)
without multipower and with different engine cover ( and
other types to like 275 etc..). an example is that my
brother haves one old mf 178 and he can use imt part's for
repairing (not all but most of them like steering pump,
hidraulic pump, hidraulic cilinder etc..) .

Re: imt 549 ploughing
o was wrote that I am translate what are you wrote but if
you can translate this (and something else but not
important) :-D , and they still produce mf 35 based
traktors. but now only one type 539, the other types are
based on mf 175 (or 275) and similar mf's but without
multipower.

Re: imt 549 ploughing
Tim,

An IMT is an ideal tractor for a small farmer.
-They are big enough to do the work
-You can fix them yourself with a hamer, pair of pinchers
and a piece of wire.
-Never break down because there is nothing that can break
down.
-And they are cheap to buy.

eicher maar weg en koop je een IMT goedkoop in onderhoud
zoals je zelf zegt :-D

Re: imt 549 ploughing
Aan een Eicher kan ook weinig kapot.

En die is al jaren geleden al betaald, die IMT nog niet.

Re: imt 549 ploughing
A Friend of my father has also an IMT, it's the same model
as a MF TE 20;-)

Re: imt 549 ploughing
frank is completely right, it's big enough , some model to
big because they now produce to the 136 hp (5136). but
before cca 15 years they haves 270 hp model (5270)with
Mercedes engine and a few pieces of 420 hp model. they are
cheap, easy for reparing because they don't have electronic
part ( i am wrong they have one electronic part - voltage
regulator on the generator ) and you have choice to chosse
cheap original imt parts or expensive mf parts or perkins,
and they are mostly reliable - except oil leak on the some
model especially on the 533 but they don't produce it any
more.

Re: imt 549 ploughing
Hi frabrne,

do you know if some IMT 5270 or 5360 are still working in
the fields? Was the even larger IMT 5500 with slightly over
500 hp ever built or only a project?

Best regards
