Re: John Deere 8430
Rony, what speed do you drive with the dammer?

Re: John Deere 8430
about 6-7 miles an hour, so that's about 10 km/h
just to pull the ground loose eh.

in the fall you make the hills already with the dammer diker
with the wings on the tooth, and during spring, just before
seeding the potatoes, you go with the dammer diker again but
without the wings, so you only make the ground loose enough
for the planter:-D

Re: John Deere 8430
Nice work :-)

We do the same speed with a Netagco Speedridger. Nice
machines but much maintenance on the discs.

Re: John Deere 8430
ok ic, this is just a very easy machine, not any maintenance
what i know about them, just drop it in the yard in the fall
and hook it on in the spring again:-P

real canadian - lazy bastards down here:-P

Re: John Deere 8430
Are you sure that they use that spudnik machine in the fall
too? To me it looks like a hiller. I'm pretty sure this is
not the dammer diker they use for fall bedding and just
before planting.

Re: John Deere 8430
no i don't think either that this is one they use in the
fall, but this one on my picture does, that's where i work
with:-D

Re: John Deere 8430
better look @ the dammer diker

as you can see, the wings are not all the way to the bottom,
they are on the top hole so it does touch the ground a
little bit to throw some fresh soil onto the rows.

Re: John Deere 8430
ow yes, they don't like the vario out here. you lose a lot
of power, and you drive long tracks where you don't have to
switch from gears! why do you think there is so less fendt
here:-D:-P
