All pictures taken in my yard the second day when tractor
came, it was dark the first day, so i couldn't take any
pictures... I got it with 00003 hours, and made theese 5 on
transportation to my farm (60-70km)...

So far I am very pleased with it... I'll see how it performs
in field, after the first service (50 hours)...

What I heard from the truck driver which drove the tractor
to me, the IMT firm is collapsing, but workers and
management of the firm don't do anything about it. I could
see what he said by the way tractor was put together... some
things didn't fit as they supposed to, and I had to fix them

But, all in all, i'm happy I got the tractor so soon (week
and a half), ussualy it took about 6 months to get the
tractor you allready bought... Little silly, but the demand
was bigger those days...
Re: IMT 549
It's not new that things dont fit and don't work on IMT.
Where I'm from, there was a dealer who sold a lot of IMT
tractors inn the middle of the eighties. especially 577DV
was popular. People bought IMT just because of the price,
but they soon found out why. The tractors almost fell apart,
and there was a lot of problems with them all the time. When
they tried to trade in the IMT in an other brand, the
dealers wouldn't take the IMT. I know about one farmer who
wanted to trade in his 577DV with only 1000 hrs on it, but
the MF-dealer refused to take in the IMT. When the farmer
said he would try another dealer, the MF-salesman said: I
want You to buy a new MF, but I don't want Your tractor, so
I will give You an offer: I cut the price on the MF like You
traded in the IMT, but You keep that piece of shit ... Som
the farmer got a really good price on the MF, and sold the
IMT in parts ....
Re: IMT 549
I don't know why people didn't like 577 DV, because that's
their best tractor, and people here NEVER had any problems
with it...

577DV has the perfect size/power ratio, and you could say
it's my dream too to have a 577DV one day. It runs good over

You mighy also know that IMT had domestic and export tractor
lines, on the first sight you could only see the difference
in color (domestic had gray engines, while export ones had
blue-greenish engines) You couldn't buy a export tractor in
here, unless you knew some connected people in the
factory... One guy over here had that kind of connection,
and they "invented" a brake malfunction, so the guy bought
it cheap. Tractor couldn't be better! If you compare a
"gray" and a "green" IMT in few years, the differrence
shows... I also wanted to buy a "green" 549, but they didn't
let me... :-(

We will see in time how it performs... For now I'm very
pleased with my both IMT's I have a 25 year old 539 (first
series) which leaks oil like it has a hole under it, but
everything else is in perfect order... ;-)
