Rock Silo
My first time to see a silo constructed of rock on a farm in
southern Missouri. Don't think it would take long to fill
this silo with todays machinery, but I think 50 years ago
this was a big job and required several men

Re: Rock Silo
Having grown up on a farm with several upright silos I can
appreciate the work to fill these old silos.

Re: Rock Silo
Some hard work went into the construction of that :-)

We have some old stone buildings on farms here in Tasmania, largely built by the convicts in the 1800's. Some are still in use today, demonstrating the quality of their construction, all those years ago.
