JD 9986 six row picker in Arkansas. Also a CIH Mx270 with a
Shortline Mfg. boll buggy. Photo taken in late September.

JD 4450 on a KBH module builder. The module builder presses
the cotton into "cubes" that are transported to the gin by
truck. There are about 16 bales/module.

Wery nice pic´s and informations.. But how is the harvester
working? Is it picking ore cutting ore vacuming the cotton
of the plants?..

It is picking the cotton off the stalks using rotating
barbed spindles. Each row unit has 2 picking drums. The
front drum has 16 bars that each contain 20 spindles. The
back drum has 12 bars. The cotton is then "doffed" off of
the spindle and blown into the basket through the black air
ducts.
