john deere 5010
Last winter i bought a brochure from the john deere 5010
tractors.
I wanted to scan them with my flatbet, but the brochure was
to big to fit on the flatbet scanner. That's why i took a
picture of it. Quality of the pictures is very bad, if i
found a bigger flatbet i will post it again.

Re: john deere 5010
its easy, just pull the lever towards you and then move over.
there you have two speeds, move to the left back out and towards you again same thing.
the rounded steel plate moves with the lever. ;-)

Paint me red and call me grandma, but i still don't get it...

I'm too stupid to drive a JD ;-)

Everyone else uses "H" transmission schemes, but NO, americans must do everything the wrong way...

Thanks for the efforts, but it's hard to explain this without showing me in real life how it's done...

Re: john deere 5010
I've seen a lot of things in my life, but this "organization" of gears I just cannot understand...

Is it easy to shift gears from 1st to 8 in the normal order, without too much trouble?

I know that you don't ever change gears from 1st to the last, just jump over gears how it suits you...

I would like to know how troubbled person must be to think of this kind of transmission... And tractor doesn't go faster than 20 Kmh!!!

Too complicated transmission for a simple tractor if you ask me...

Thanks for your time and nervs to explain this to me. I now understand the shift mechanism...
