Re: Dutch Harrows
Yes :-) you have created a great device, in this machine. We use it straight into ploughing, in preparation for a range of crops from poppies & grass seeds to peas & cereals.

I also saw for a while ago, that you posted some pictures of a Schuitemaker, what do you think about that Dutch High quality machine?

Re: Dutch Harrows
They seem a good machine Patrick. However, I would say amongst the farmers Krone & Strautmann would be the most popular here :-)

Re: Dutch Harrows
Why is krone and Strautmann more populiar than Schuitemaker? does that have to do with the price?? Well, at least you guys use those new machinery, I was last summer in Canada, so far as I could see, only old american crap.

Re: Dutch Harrows
Could be the price, I am not sure (& not a dairy farmer either).

Probably the majority of silage is made in round bales here with balance made by forage harvesters & loader wagons. Taarup is the most popular forage harvester & here in Tasmania where I live, there are only 3-4 self propelled foragers that I know of (the majority are tractor drawn).

Re: Dutch Harrows
Could well be Gerbert, I am not sure. One of the larger machinery distributors here sells Taarup, Krone & Strautmann. I am not sure if Schuitemaker are sold here any more (they were a few years ago but the Lely dealership changed hands)
