JOSHJA 352308 1 New Highline 8000 Bale Processor either
New Highline 8000 Bale Processor
Our new bale processor was delivered on Saturday.

The first picture shows the New Holland TM125 with Quicke 980 on the Highline 7000 Bale Processor, our old one, and the NH TV145 on the new 8000 model.

Questions and comments are welcome as always.

Hi Josh,

Nice pics & a nice website too :-)

I had a chuckle to myself when I saw your picture, as you have obviously had a nice covering of snow & I am sitting here in shorts and a singlet & it is 25 degrees C outside :-P Isnt the world a funny place?

Cheers from a warm & sunny Australia,

The Cowboy.

From the rear...

Here you can see the new one has big, high-flotation tires, heavy duty adjustable axle, heavy-duty adjustable forks, right hand discharge.

Cowboy, well I'm glad SOMEBODY is amused at this snow! ;-)
Last week was terrible, with the wind chill, it was about -40'C :-\

Not so bad now, actually getting up to +3'C this week for a few minutes, so there! Just remember, as we get warmer, you get colder. :-D You have fun with your shorts while it lasts. :-)

This shows the a) left hand discharge of the old machine, and the manual winch of the door... :-[

Bad news about your dog :-( did he die of old age or was he sick?

I meant to ask in my previous post, what is the advantage of having a tractor like your TV 145 reverse drive with a loader, as opposed to having a loader on a normal tractor (like you do with your other tractor)?

Bigger tires, hydraulic door, heavy hitch, work lights, Feed Chopper (chops the feed, especially baled silage, so that it is identical to chopped silage from a forage harvester in a TMR/feed mixer).

Relatively light-duty compared to the new machine. And yes, it is missing a set of lights on the right side, they're sitting on my workbench right now, they were acting up, think there's a bad connection in the wiring on that side.

As for the dog, no, he was perfectly healthy, and only 7 years old. He was actually poisoned in a way. We had the vet euthanize a cow on the weekend, and the truck didn't make it today. He got into it and litterrally over-sedated himself. Wondering where he was all morning and afternoon, normally he rides in the tractor during feeding, and we didn't find him till this evening, he was still warm.

As for the bidirectional (TV145), far superior visibility, reach, can reach over a flat-bed without worrying about hitting with the engine/grill, hydrostatic transmission, pedals for loader controls, articulation ("bend-in-the-middle"), higher lift capacity, it's a more practical option over a payloader or telehandler. Overall it's an excellent machine, downside is the ride, rides like a payloader. Everything about it, it's a superior loader tractor. But we still have loaders on all our other tractors, and the new tractor delivery in January will have a loader on it as well.

Now that you've reminded me, I'll post pictures of Alfalfa Silage from this summer.

Heavy duty, improved fork system, and you can see more of the feed chopper inside.

Only downside of that TV145, is the engine size. At times I'd like to have more power for things like digging, and it only has 105 PTO Hp.

The new bale processor requires 130 PTO Hp (150+ engine Hp)

2000 TM125 with Quicke 980 loader on the 2000 Highline 7000 Bale Processor. This was the set-up we used for a number of years, until there was a front axle problem and we put the TV145 on the processor, after 1,000 hours on the processor, it was eating up too much of it's warranty hours, and we ran it on the 7710-II with loader for the past couple years, until the front axle went on it. Now with the new processor, the TV145 is the only tractor that can handle it, and that's with the agression set down.

November 30th 2000 we ordered this tractor, November 30th 2004 we ordered the TV145, and this past November 30th we ordered another tractor. Purely co-incidence.

Last one. Still looks good in my opinion, considering it's age.

TV145 feeding with the Highline 8000

Mark, the new tractor is a new Deere 7000 series. Believe me, when it arrives there will be plenty of pictures, and details.
