Raked Hay
Raked hay awaiting the baler, Perth, Tasmania 2004.

The crop is a little thin but still yielded some valuable hay, for the farm's cattle herd.

do you tedder after cutting,or just turn swaths.
by the look of the rows,it was spread out?

No, not normally jdeere (unless it gets wet in the mown swath).

This paddock was mown with a disc mower & raked with a fingerwheel rake (it wasnt tedded).

Normally our weather is warm enough for the grass to dry sufficiently in the mown swath (especially if a mower / conditioner is used) without tedding. Rain or bad weather at hay & silage making is usually not a problem here :-)
