Re: RFM Airseeder
Side on shot of the same drill, on another property in the Longford area.

It has been sowing marrowfat peas (same paddock as my shots in field crops, marrowfat peas).

Re: RFM Airseeder
The machine has 3 bins; 1 for seed, 1 for fertilizer & 1 for small seeds (will sow small seeds like rape, poppies, grass & turnips).

The machine sows approx 20 ft (6 metres) from memory.

TC,
Is that a Case tractor pulling the air seeder? That drill looks more like an 8m, but I could be wrong.

Re: RFM Airseeder
Yes JCB, it is a Case IH MX-220.

I checked up with the owner of this seeder & he told me that the model of the airseeder is 2400, meaning 24 foot (7.2 metres) sowing width, so you arent far away with your guess, at all :-)

Re: RFM Airseeder
Drills with combined fertiliser boxes are almost non existent these days, in the UK. We haven't used them for over 25 years.

Re: RFM Airseeder
It is the complete opposite here in Tassie mate; virtually all combine drills, except a few Amazone, Lely & Accord airseeders. Australian made drills are virtually all seed / fert drills too :-)
