The Case 4890 didnèt have a scandia motor in it until 1984 when they joined with International and brought out the Case IH 4894.

then only the red ones would have the Scania engine?
but i have seen white ones with Scania motor V8 and l-6. :-\

Hi jdeere
In 1984 When the 94 series came out they had the option of the Traditional Case white, now whith black, or the option of the International red. When you got the international red your sticker on the side of the tractor said Case International where the white ones just said CASE. It was your choice when you bought the tractor. And sorry, I guess I was wrong, the 4890 and 2870 always had the scandia motor. I was thinking of the 4690. :-[
