Unknown (LEMIND 3x10")
Found this 3x10" beauty yesterday at my friend's yard, and he gave it to me for free...

Plough is in a very bad shape, but for shallow ploughing (10-15cm) it will do just fine...
If it prooves good, I will fix it to be in good condition, but no big investments, just fire up my faithful arc welder and some scrap steel to reinforce the mouldboards, and that's it.

What do you think, will my 549 (34kW, 46 HP) have the strenght to pull this "beast" 15cm "deep", and to have reasonable speed (6-8km/h)?

Re: Unknown
I would think your tractor should pull it Bobo, I guess it depends on your soil type a bit too.

I know a guy who used to use a 3 furrow MF mouldboard plough on his MF 135 (approx 44 -45 hp), in clay loam soils & it ploughed just fine :-)

Re: Unknown
How deep did he plouhg with his MF? If my tractor pulls this baby at 25 cm, i will sell my 2x10" plough...

@Bärenstark: My friend says he thinks it is domestic (former yugoslavia)... I doubt it's foreign, because of poor craftsmanship... Plough needs reinforcements everywhere :-(

Re: Unknown
Probably about 15-20 cm ploughing depth, from memory. If you plough any deeper in some of the soils here, you only plough up the clay, which is no good for growing crops in.

Re: Unknown
I always plough 25cm deep...

Soon I will have to rip the soil up because of the constant ploughing depth...

I ploughed 45cm deep for my orchard with 1x16" plough. I have pictures on my cell, but no means to transfer them to PC. soon I will upload them ;-)

Re: Unknown
Ok,

On some soils here you can plough 30cm deep but alot arent that deep, so 15-20 cm would be a more common depth.

Re: Unknown
Here it is! Friends help. Thank you Robert! This plough is indeed a LEMIND 3 furrow plough...

http://www.lemind-proleter.co.yu/english_files/Page700.htm

Uglavnom, ja imam i prvu seriju 539 (1981.g.) i sad smo uzeli 549.

Hehe, I'm going tomorrow to get the plough to my "farm" and I will try to find a piece of land and try ploughing...

But i doubt, because it's raining for two days now, nothing special, but it's wet... Never mind, I will see if it will be possible to try out new equipment...

Re: Unknown (LEMIND 3x10")

Samo je problem sto nemam pojma koliko ce me daske kostat...

Jos me samo brine kako sa 3 brazde napravit jarak kad razorem njivu? Nikad nisam radio s 3 brazde, i iskreno nemam pojma kako bih izveo jarak... Svaki savjet je dobro dosao!

Pozdrav iz Pozege!

Re: Unknown (LEMIND 3x10")
UPDATE:

This how this baby looks like now...

I reinforced first two boards, and widened the plough, because just now it's 3x10". before was set up for 3x8"?!? Who needed that kind of setup??

I also added the "land cutter" in front of the third furrow, so it is left clean. Also I welded everywhere, because this piece of junk is very old, and doesnt look very promissing...

Side view.

I need to lift the "cutter" a bit. When I put it on the plough, in the yard it seemed to be high enough... I was wrong :-P

View of the ploughing depth. I'm a size 46 EU...

This piece of land has been ploughed recently, but tractors drove over it so, it doesn't really count as "real" ploughing. BUT on the plough the shares are dull, and very worn, so I think the plough will go deeper, when i buy new shares...

And for the end, a short video I uploaded on youtube for you to see
