Re: NEW DTU T860 Tractor Bruschure
I found a picture and information from 11-2006!
It is a prototype with Deutz V-8 15,9 lt. 600 HP by 1900 rpm.
That on 8 wheels with Goodyear 600/70R30!
It shout be have the same traction as a catterpillar.
It is 9 mtr. long
The transmission is a Fynk 18+6 en the weight almost 20.000 kg.

Re: NEW DTU T860 Tractor Bruschure
If that was the case a normal high HP tractor with front & rear duals would be more economical & easier to turn around on the headlands.

Re: NEW DTU T860 Tractor Bruschure
thats the idea (just prototype now) be able to drive on the road between fields and still have traction like a 4WD with duals.
ground pressure is even less by almost 20to and 600HP.:-[
old idea,Big Roy from Versatile from the 80`s never made it too :-\
plans are also to have a semi-like vehicle for big tanks an dumpers.see Claas Xerion

Re: NEW DTU T860 Tractor Bruschure
Does anyone know if this project is still running?? Seems like a while since any new info was released, and the website is removed... As I understand it, the 8-wheel construction provides floatation similar to a tracked vehicle, but with better grip on slippery surfaces?
