JD 4255 with JD 30' Drill
Re: 4255 and drill
Is that 30', or 24'. The 30'+ JD drills I have seen are all
three section drills.
Re: 4255 and drill
Dirtdr, It's a 30' drill i don't remember the number but it
was an older model I traded that drill for a three section
Deere 455 drill.
Re: 4255 and drill
Matt, I think that drill is a 520.
Re: 4255 and drill
how do you justify a drill in corn and bean land. Why not
just use one planter?
Re: 4255 and drill
The big reason is time. Our planting window keeps getting
smaller every year due to bad weather and I get more acres
every year. And i don't like 30inch beans they take to long
to canopy and i get to much weed pressure. I never really
liked drilled beans either drills aren't very accurate for
seed spacing. Right now I have four Kinzie planters one 24
row 30 inch machine and one 12 row 30 inch machine and two
12\23 split row planters that plant 12-30 inch corn rows and
23-15 inch soybean rows. If i'm really pushed for time i
will plant some 30inch soybeans though.
