How NOT to free off a siezed MF 135 !
This 135 had siezed up after standing for a while and water going down the exhaust. So after failing to free it off by towing it about with the Lambo someone had the bright idea to connect up the ptos. Managed to burn out the 135's clutch but thats about it ! Anything to avoid a strip down job !

Here's the Lambo dragging the poor little MF about. Shame, all it would have taken is a baked bean can on top of the exhaust and she'd be moving under her own power !

None of the idiots around made the remark that the engine would going to run the wrong direction with the PTO-trick? :-\

Bloody Denbighshire farmers:-P

Frank,With lambo (and zetor) you can run the pto in reverse;-) select ground speed, put high-low in neutral, select reverse. And then pto runs in reverse (but tractor stays still)

Owain,Next time remove starter motor, put big steel bar (trosol) in the flywheel teeth and turn the engine like this until it is free. Then put starter motor back and start engine.

It wasnt my idea by the way and as internash says the pto was turning the right way.

Thats the way we do it over here :-P
One of us acctually works for the MF dealer ! We had already tried a trosol on the ring gear through the clutch inspection plate on the bottom with no luck. It was solid !

Not sure if he got it going. I was just collecting an MF 35 I had bought and we agreed to have a go at the chaps 135. The 35 was in a similar state and is now waiting for new pistons and liners ! I'll post some piucs soon.

you could also just poored WD-40 into the exhaust and wait a day or two.

pouring DOT 4 brake oil on top of frozen pistons, and coming back next week allways helps... just dont forget to change the oil as soon as the engine is running, when teh brake oil mixes with engine oil, the engine oil will have no lubricating capacity at all.
