Hello,

Interesting pics you've been posting. I pitty the soil in some potato fields! Saw a chap shifting basically mud from the headland with a telehandler to get the trailers out of the field earlier this year !

Keep up the good work,

Owain

Re: I think its stuck!
We did eventualy get the stricken 8000 series tractor pulled out.
This was back in 1999, when I drove a JD 6800 for a season, pulling a two row Grimme potato harvester.

It was not on my own farm, I should point out.

It was very wet, a lot of the time & I needed a second 6800, to tow me around.

The field was flooded in places.

The wettest patches, we had to miss.

Owain,

This is the drawback to root crops.

When its wet, harvesting gets difficult.

Re: Why not try the new prototype
Also that same season, the farm had a demo with this two row tanker potato harvester.

Seen here parked in the barn.

It had just been hooked up to the 8000 series JD.

The next day, in a dryer field. It was put to work.

In this last picture of the Grimme, it is seen preparing to unload its tank.
