Emerging Lupin Crop
An emerging narrowleaf (white) lupin crop, Perth, Tasmania, spring 1988.

This crop was grown for it's grain, which was stored on farm for feeding to sheep.

In this paddock the lupins are just starting to emerge (is a bit hard to see, due to the quality of the pic). The tyre tracks you can see on the left are from a 4wd Toyota spray unit, which has applied a pre emergence spray of Simazine.

The crop was sown with a Chamberlain 746 24 run combine drill, owned by a local contractor at the time.
