Mud and hills
Trailer started sliding and inexperienced driver stopped instead of making run for the bottom of the hill

Re: Mud and hills
Looks like a make work project to me. Hope the trailer wasn't too damaged. We had a corn king dump wagon flip over like that a few years ago. Luckily it wasn't that damaged.

Re: Mud and hills
Hi Phil, Have you had to change the cutterhead on the 7500 yet? We just put in our 4th one this winter(40 knife) on our 7200. And another cutter out here blew a big chunk out of his cutterhed on his 7500 this summer.

Re: Mud and hills
No we have had no problem with the cutterhead. What is causing your problem?

Re: Mud and hills
Poor design. The drum we put in now has a reinforcement in the inside in around the middle. Mostly it is just the 40 knife drums cracking. You have to take a real close look and then you can see the hair line cracks around the knife holders.

Re: Mud and hills
We have just over 1900 on the engine. Which we actually blew up this summer :-( There is a different cutter out here who bought a new machine(7500) at the start of the season last year and only got 300 hours and then blew his engine. Not sure what the cause was on either of them. The other 2nd cutter I was talking about in the previous post that the cutter drum blew apart in has I think closer to 2500 hours. But I wouldn't use any other brand of cutter.
