Re: ASA-LIFT TRAILED HARVESTER HEAVELY MODIFIED
it's a swede harvester , it's bean designed to lift swede as gently as possible and deposit swede directly in ton boxes so no double handling of product .
the side fold's down to store boxes on and there is a ramp system at rear that automaticaly tilts box as box fills up

Re: ASA-LIFT TRAILED HARVESTER HEAVELY MODIFIED
Ok, thanks for that :-)

How many acres (or hectares) of swedes do you usually harvest with this machine?

Not alot grown over here, mostly as a forage crop for cattle.

Re: ASA-LIFT TRAILED HARVESTER HEAVELY MODIFIED
we lift all our early crop will it 200 acres approx and it lifts mainly for the cold store as it's minimum damage, it lifts about 120 boxes in an 8 hour shift.
its also our back up machine in case our big machine breaks down as it did last month , check out photos of broken wheel drive motor in BROKE section and there is a picture off our big harvester in the TRACTOR section under HORSCH it lifts about 350 boxes in 8 hours :-)

Ok, very interesting.

Do the swedes go for the fresh market locally or are some of them exported?
