Re: chopping corn
Nice Picture, and nice equipment. Can you tell us some more about this, is this your own equipment or is it a contractor? What do you think of the JD Forage harvesters? Our neigbours run a Claas on their 1000 head feed lot.

Re: chopping corn
Yes that is our equipment. We like the John Deere harvestors very well. We are custom cutting on a 1500 cow dairy in Marshaville, OH When that picture was taken

Re: chopping corn
We pull two dump trailers with 7810s and three web trailers with one 7810 and two 7800. The one 7810 we got from John Deere for testing with an IVT transmission the year before they introduced them. We still have it and love it. We have one with AutoQuad and three powershifts

Re: chopping corn
Nice to here the IVT is a robust transmission. The company I work for supplies parts for these. I did get the oppurtinity to drive a 7010 series at the local dealer which I believe was going into testing locally. I am happy they are working out. This was a few years ago. I remember the 8020 series better. It was 2001 and 2002 for testing of the IVT :-)

Re: chopping corn
One of my workers took it, I think from the top of the cab and yes that is alfalfa on the left, this farmer is very particular about us not driving in it.
