New Idea Balers
This is this summer. The balers are Hesstons with a New Idea red color, they make 5 x 6 bales. The tractor running it is a Newholland 8970

Nice pics, how do you like the Valtra? Looked at a T150 with loader this fall, got some nice features, but they just didn't do anything special for me.

What are you using to using to cut now?

Re: New Idea Balers
Nice pictures :-)

They look like good machines (we dont have New Idea machines here in Australia, to the best of my knowledge, so it is nice to see some pics of them).

Re: New Idea Balers
Josh: We thought the Valtra lacked power for the baler, but then again we were comparing a 120 hp tractor to the 210hp 8970. The loader joystick is way to small, and the countless buttons in the cab took a while to figure out but other than that it seemed to be an OK machine. I couldnt really figure out why 120 hp needed a hood this size either, sure does something for visibility on the loader! Couldnt see us buying one. There is a post that shows our cutting machines of last year i put up a few weeks ago, just take a look in my posting history. Next year we will be running triple mowers on GPS.
Thanks Cowboy

Yep, you pretty much hit on the same things I noticed as well... don't you find the loader joystick on the 714 to be small too? :-P

I ran a Valtra 6850 with Quicke 990 loader for a short time loading bales, there were a few things I liked on it and I always said I'd demo an M or T series before I bought another tractor, but when it came down to it this fall I looked at them at some shows, talked with Valtra for at least an hour, and left there rather disappointed. I never got a demo of one, much to the dismay of the salesman.

Don't hear of too many people cutting with GPS, but I'm sure it'll work excellent. When does your 930 arrive?
