Re: John Deere 7420
So you make both loose and baled silage? What is your weight on the bales, and what do you have for a bagging machine?

The 7420 have PowrQuad or IVT?

Looks like you're right off the highway, which one is that?

Re: John Deere 7420
These silage bales weigh 3500 - 4000 lbs. We don't bag them, we stack them and cover them with plastic.
The 7420 has the PowrQuad.
It is Sec. highway 769.

Re: John Deere 7420
the difference between IVT and Autopower is that AP is manufactured and developped by ZF you you'll find it in JD 6010-6020 (ZF Eccom 1.5)-7020 Premium (ZF Eccom 2.0) series.
IVT is developped by Deere itself and fitted into 7710-7810, 7020 LF, 8020, 7030LF and 8030 series.

Nice pics.
We have a couple trailers like that which we
pull with a 7210 and it pulls ok but you really
got to watch what your doing.
Does that 7420 pull that trailer loaded ok?

Re: John Deere 7420
The trailer is only 2/3 full. Never tried to pull a full load yet as this tractor is only a few months old. This trailer is usualy pulled by the 7820.
