Re: John Deere 7820
u are the one thats nuts here herdsman, ever been to the US or Canada?
In europe almost all the equipment is made to hook up to the hitch, because its all smaller than in america, over here everything is bigger, and not able to carry it in the hitch, almost all the equipment is towed.

and like aslomps tractor, its has a loader, does a lot of feeding and all that work at a cattle farm, and u dont need a 3pt hitch for a feeder, so WHATS THE POINT OF HAVING A TRACTOR WITH 3PT HITCH?

Re: John Deere 7820
That accumulator on the back, is that for loader suspension?

The plate around the drawbar, is that stock or aftermarket? Never seen that before, but looks like it might wok well.

Re: John Deere 7820
Russ. You just drive alongside the feed and feed will make the tires turn, moving the feed to the side. I don't have more pictures at this time.

FlyingDutchman. The accumulator is for the loader suspension. The plate around the drawbar is for extra strenght when pulling heavy trailers, like a dump trailer.

Re: John Deere 7820
if i see that side of the chair, and the loaderjoystick, i think, isn't the right console a bit deep?
Someone here had a 6610 with electric loader control and he had it attached to the armrest, why don't you have that?

nice tractor though, but doesn't it get dirty very quick, because it doesn't have mudguards?

Re: John Deere 7820
Rony, you should have kept your eyes open while your where living in Holland, to keep the machine as compact as possible for transport, it's really nice to have 3 point hitch. Also yout can (so far as I can see) controle the machine better in the 3 point hitch than towed, mayby I'm wrong, but that's the way how I see it, and there is one thing more, a lot of racke's are in the 3 point hitch, and if you look at the racke's that the tractor wont have to carry, than it's really easy to make a steering system on the racke, So I prefer a 3 point hitch than towed.

Re: John Deere 7820
have you ever saw a rake with in the 3 point from 8 meter?
A towed rake(offcourse with steered wheels) are much more manouvrable

Re: John Deere 7820
this is mainly in the wheatland (Sask.Alberta,Montana,Dakota) like that, the rest of CN and USA have mostly 3 point linkage even on the 4WD's.

Re: John Deere 7820
Patrick, that we don't have a lot of equipment with 3pt is because its all a lot bigger than in holland, that's what i said. Off course are smaller machines more compact and manouvrable, but we can't do it with such small machines.

Re: John Deere 7820
schizo, that was one funny sentance:-P
What do you mean?

Anyway,If you dont have 3-point link and pick-up hitch in uk everyone laughs and say you have antique tractor:-\

I think towed implements make more use of HP because you can tow bigger machine than tractor can normally carry on 3 point link.
