Re: 3 LÜLER
@cristoph: no need for "thoose little ploughs" over here... We learned to plough without them, and we're doing just fine...

@jdeere: We have strong tractors and strong ploughs over here, and we plough the rocks right out, and collect them later... ;-)

Just joking... The thing is this, we are the luckiest sons of b...... for having such light land over here, so we don't have the need for any things on the plough... I still don't know what's the use of "thoose little ploughs"... I found on the internet they are used to plough plant remainings under, but i manage to plough WHOLE corn (maise) plant under, and it doesn't stick out annywhere... I've been doing so for over 20 years now, and no problem with it...

If someone could enlighten me, go for it!

If you ask me, thoose things invented someonw who doesn't know how to set the plough properly...

Re: 3 LÜLER
bobo you can see this small pieces corn stable which wasn't buried with soil, this was happen because one "small plug" (pretpluznjak) is missing. this "small plugs" remove chipped corn stable or grass front off the plug "neck"

Re: 3 LÜLER
hmm, OK, but when i plough corn under (the whole stubble after hand picking) with IMT 2x10" plough, nothing can be seen pointing out... Either your brother is ploughing too deep, or too shallow.

I don't want to hurt annybodies feelings, but I don't see the point in "small ploughs" in front the big one...

As I wrote in my post above, I know what's the use of thoose things, but with or without them, it's all the same to me. Maybe "small ploughs" reduce the wear of big mouldboard, but hardly...

I have done research of theese things, but I still don't see the point...

Only advantage i see in theese "small" ploughs is reduced clogging up of the plough...

Re: 3 LÜLER
if you plow grassland its a must to have a clean field.
about the rocks, they are sometimes so big and rough, the plow would hook on to the rocks and without auto reset you would bend something on the plow.
