Leni Luc
In Oct. 2006, Jack and I visited contractor Leni Luc from Ittre, Brabant Wallon, Belgium to take a closer look at his John Deere 7500 with Kemper 375 head.

Re: Leni Luc
I think it's the only operational 10-row 375-head in Belgium, and in Holland I know also just one: De Kroon from Berkel-Enschot.

Re: Leni Luc
Don't know what they have done with this Joskin trailer, a serious oil-leak, perhaps?

Allthough it's already some years old, it still is a very impressive machine with this head..

Re: Leni Luc
Hi Martin :-)

in the second picture you can see there are different colours of the crop. It's always 4 rows darker and then 4 rows lighter. I have seen that quite a lot but nobody could tell me why :-\. Are those different varieties? Would that help to spread out the possible harvesting date? Maybe someone can hepl me out here.

Thanks Martin

Re: Leni Luc
Could be a nutrition issue Martin but you can see it every 4 rows; you wouldnt think they would plant different varieties in that fashion?

Mmmm, interesting.

Oh by the way, nice photos :-)

Re: Leni Luc

Re: Leni Luc
MartinM, I think this maize was seeded with an 8 row machine in which the 4 rows are other varieties.

Re: Leni Luc
Hi Michiel

my guess would have been a 4 row planter. You fill two boxes with "A" and two with "B".

On the field it's gonna look like this:

AABB|BBAA|AABB|BBAA

With an 8 row planter it would look like this:

AAAABBBB|BBBBAAAA|AAAABBBB

Re: Leni Luc
MartinM,

I think you're right, but then you have to see in the first rows around the outside of the field this:

AABB|AABB|AABB|AABB

Because I know that we make first 4 rounds on the outside, but we have 2x a 6 row machine.
