Valmet 6600
couple of shots of the sisu valmet, it needs a wash. Does not get used very much anymore since the MXU 125 arrived 2 years ago and took over the ploughing for winter cereals and the baling

Michael,

Why are some Valtra tractors blue & some other colours (have seen a red one here somewhere)?

Cheers,

Re: Valmet 6600
When i first came across Valmets i asked the same question i think it was a novelty thing you could have white red blue green yellow/orange and occasionally black it was up to the customer what colour you got as you can see it is quite an easy thing to change some decals on the rear mudwings on the rear cab pillar and the engine guards so quite easy to change the colours

Re: Valmet 6600
valmet is one of the tractor, where the buyer can choose which colour he want to have. In the newest series you can also choose which colour you want.

Re: Valmet 6600
You can even get exclusive metallic coulors. Originally Valmet was yellow/brown, after the merge with Volvo BM they became light red and then thy came with the possibility to choose coulours when the Mega 8300/8600 came.

Re: Valmet 6600
That is interesting isnt it, when you consider that the established brands (without any exceptions, I can think of) only sell their machines in their colours.

Re: Valmet 6600
Yes, isn't it - we have a neighbour that have one red metallic T-190, one Claas-green T-170 and a blue 6850. In a distance you assume it is a farmer with no line in their choice of tractors, but when you look better you se a clear line but colourfull!:-)

Re: Valmet 6600
Yes most farmers here have a preference for brands, so they might have all MF, all JD, all Case IH, etc.
