Ford 7700 for sale
Local dealer is selling this good old Ford. Model is -80 with turbo and 92 or 94 hp. I'm not sure is this older or newer version 7700 series. What kind of experience people have this Ford. Is it worth to buy? I need one more tractor and i don't want to buy new one :-[

Re: Ford 7700 for sale
Once I worked by a big potato grower and the had Fords; TW 30, 7700, 6610, 6600 and 5600. I used to drive the 7700 with flat bed trailers and it was quite a strong tractor. Some days i drove the TW-30 but it didn't seem to be twice as strong. The problem with the 7700 was the gear box and that you was forced to use the gears a lot. Under 1900 rpm the motor seemed to die. Typical 4 cylinder turbo from late 70's. Otherwise a good tractor!

Thank's for the answer. Dealer says that mile indication is 4634 h and that is a little! What you recommend i should offer € this Ford?

Re: Ford 7700 for sale
You can find a similar at www.mascus.fi that have 9700 hours on the meter and price is €5.700. I think that you shall pay €5.500 - 6.000 maybe € 6.500 due to the low time, but you can always wonder if the meter is right for such old tractor with so less hours!
