Ratarko 390611 86 Deutz Fahr M3580 either
Deutz Fahr M3580
This is my two Deutz-Fahr 3580 ( 170 PS ) combine harvesters.
They are 16 and 17 years old . First one is hydrostatic and the second one is driven by the belts .
First one got 4.2m header and the second one is 4.8m wide .
Harvesters are cheap to own because they break down almost never .
Last year I invest only 100€ on the spare parts for both of them , bear in mind that they are 16 years old .

Re: Deutz Fahr M3580
I am planing to exchange them in the future for one bigger Deutz-Fahr harvester.
As we have a Deutz-Fahr combine harvester factory in Croatia it will be easy to do so.
In ours Deutz-Fahr combine factory we are proud to produce a real Croatian product
with German name on it and own by Italian dude ( SDF Group ) ;-)

Re: Deutz Fahr M3580
jonas , dont realy know about new DF harvesters produced in Croatia . I guess they are worst than before , I think it is logistics question . All the parts for new DF combines comes from Lauingen-Germany , the people in Croatia build the chassis on their own and put the German parts on it and there is a Italian owner to supervise it all :-\. I wisited DF factory in Croatia ( even took some spy photos there :-P ) , they have all the tools and machines to build them proper . The new painting line is installed ( many millions of euro worth ) because that was the worst part of the DF harvesters.

Re: Deutz Fahr M3580
I don't know anything in general about the quality of new DF combines. Here in Sweden they changed importer some years ago, and since then not many are sold. Two or three Topliner 8XL were sold a few years ago, but the buyers were not satisfied. The even rejected the contracts, but I don't know how it ended.

Old DF combines are known as strong and reliable here in Sweden.

Re: Deutz Fahr M3580
Nice pics Ratarko :-)

By the size of the machinery you have, I am assuming that you have quite a large farm; How big is it?

Regards,

TC.

Re: Deutz Fahr M3580
@Lennart - 8XL is known to be the "trrouble one" over here .The new on DF combines is still good one but not like before when they made them in Germany , ok i thin they are not so expensiv now . They make me an offer of 130.000€ for the top model DF 5690 HTS with 6 m hedder and serial equipment but i have to decline the offer at this point.

@TasCowboy - Thanks again , I have 200 ha farm . I only produce crops no animals at my farm.

Re: Deutz Fahr M3580
Hi

I own two DF combines, M2680 and M3640H. The 2680 have 13000 hours and the 3640 have 4500 hours. I also spend very little money in the combines and last longueer than any other.
God save DF ;)

Re: Deutz Fahr M3580
Sebas , 13000 hours - never hear something like that in combine !!!

Re: Deutz Fahr M3580
Ratarko

I'm vfrom Catalonia, in the north east of spain but unfortunately i have no flag of my country (Catalonia).

Never have any major problems in the combine. The motors were never toucht in the past, only a few problems with the oil refrigerator in the 2680. I only change chains, belts, augers, etc...

I know of a guy with two topliners that have over 16000 hours and no engine problems.

Re: Deutz Fahr M3580
Thanks for info Sebas , Deutz-Fahr ( Croatia ) soled few Topliner combines to Spain . In the one year the Spain owner generate 1200 working hours on combine !!! I hear that in Spain grain is hard so it wear the metal sheet on combine and augers too. They have to repair the metal sheet and augers on the combine from Spain ( on Deutz-Fahr expence ) like it would harvest rice . For rice they use harder and thicker metal sheets.
