How much have you pay it for this tractor?

Re: Schlüter Profi trac 5000 TVL
This is another pic of this magnificent model.
I paid 562,00 EUR in 1996 but now the Reisinger-Schlüters are a lot more expensive - but they are worth it. These are really great models. I own 4 Schlüters, a Deutz 13006 and 3 Lemken models made by Reisinger. And there are 4 more Schlüters and 1 Lemken still to come. Unfortunately as a probational member I'm only allowed to post one thread every 24 hours but I shall post them and several other handmade models I purchased from great model-artists.
Unfortunately I'm not able to make such models but I admire everyone who can.

Why do you spend so much money on a scale model?:-[

Re: Schlüter Profi trac 5000 TVL
To Hi CJ900 Speedstar: That price is not expensive at all if paid for a Reisinger Schlüter. My 1250 with front end loader cost 745 EUR and the High Speed 595 EUR.

To John Deere Power: Perhaps it's nonsense to spend so much money in scale models. But in someone elses view it's nonsense to spend so much money in tuned up cars, in model trains or travels all around the world. Money is the problem of every hobby, isn't it? I'm not interested in models I can purchase in any shop. I want custom built models because sometimes - when I found a new one - I can't even believe it's existing and that I really got it. THAT'S collecting. And there's another thing: I would have liked to become a farmer since I was a little boy but unfortunately I didn't have the opportunity to get a farm. And when buying one you will never pay the debts. So this is an alternative for realizing my dream of being a farmer. Perhaps you can understand.
Meanwhile I have at least a few machines and a small piece of land to play with as a Hobby-farmer. Look at the following pics.

Re: Schlüter Profi trac 5000 TVL
Wow; you're the first hobby-farmer I hear of with 2 MB-tracs. Mostly they use a MF 135 of something in the same HP-range. How many hectares do you have to 'play' with your (beautiful) MB's?

i'll repeat: The difference between young lads and old men are the size and the price of the toys...;-)

Very nice models!

Re: Schlüter Profi trac 5000 TVL
First of all I want to thank everyone who replied to my first tread. It feels great how you welcome me as a new member of the community.

To Frank Janmaat: Thank you for your compliments.

To Johan Straver: Unfortunately I don't know anybody who could show me how to do and if you don't have any idea how to make e.g. a form i think you won't succeed. I would love to be able to make my own models or at least some conversions because I'm still looking for a lot of models I'd like to have. I saw your first conversions here at Farmphoto and I only can say they are commanding respect. Well done.

To Bouwhuus: It's almost embarrassing to say but I only have 48 hectares and most of them are forest. But of course I don't say that I need the tracs to do my work. As I said - they are a hobby and I dreamt of having an MB trac since the first 1300 came to a farmer I knew.

To Lennart: I'm 38. YOU must say whether this a young lad or an old man ... :-)

Hi Kari, that's it! You know how to put things right.
I couldn't express in words better what we collectors are doing. And - to be honest - who of us does NOT spend more money in models than he should do (or his wife or girlfriend consider to be spent ??) ;-)

Re: Schlüter Profi trac 5000 TVL
Very nice models! I'm a big fan of German tractors, like MB-Trac and Schlüter, and ofcourse the Unimog. Our contractor had a MB Trac 1500 a long time ago but now he's gone. But your Mb's are really nice!

Re: Schlüter Profi trac 5000 TVL
To Ziko: Hi and thanks for your compliments. MB trac and Schlüter are my favourites, too. I shall post some pics of my model MB tracs 1100 and 1800 intercooler this evening.
I have sent two Original Britains 1500 to a model maker to be converted and I shall get another one from a member of this community.
It's nice that there are members from the Netherlands who can speak English.
Especially the dutch collectors have great models as I can see here and it's really a pity that I can't speak your language because I would really like to understand your discussions :-(. I tried hard with a dictionary but it's difficult.
Please don't misunderstand: I don't want you to switch to English of course - I only want to say that I think I miss some really interesting facts when not understanding your language.

To TasCowboy: Hello to Australia, these models might be expensive but Schlüters or MB tracs are really hard to find models and if you like them so much you'll have to pay the price ... My models might be more expensive than others but my collection is smaller. Those collectors who own 300 or more models might have spent more money in total than me.

Re: Schlüter Profi trac 5000 TVL
I like the photos of your models MB TRAC 1800 :-)

I was just meaning that 500 euros (or $500 to us here) is alot of money to pay for anything, that was all.

Re: Schlüter Profi trac 5000 TVL
But always cheaper than spending money on a woman and childern ;-)

How many hectares does a farmer in your region have?

Re: Schlüter Profi trac 5000 TVL
To TasCowboy: I didn't misunderstand you. Everything ist alright but I didn't want you to think I was showing off with the price of my models. That wasn't my intention. I only answered to the questions of the members.
By the way - you must be a lucky man. Australia is my dream. I purchased the model of a NH TR 96 combine at eBay only to have one from Australia :-).
To Frank Kraaijvanger: That's it - and models aren't as demanding as women and children ...:-D:-D:-D
To be a happy farmer here you should have 150 hectares or more.

Re: Schlüter Profi trac 5000 TVL
MB trac 1800: I like the way you talk! Nice tractors! I never hated german guys, but now shure not! :-D

Now I know why you spend so much on a scale model. I like to hear such stories. ;-)

Thanks.
