Our crops and nature development 2007
I intend to show some pics of the nature development including our crops on our farm. The first one taken two weeks ago of the winter rape seed in the snow.

Closer pic of the rape seed plants - this is maybe the worst condition for the plants, temperatur varies from -10 in the night and just over zero in the day, and the snow is not covering the plants enough.

It is amazing that any crop could survive under this snow & still give a good yield ;-)

Re: Our crops and nature development 2007
This is the rape seed field yesterday. This field is still to wet to get nitrogen, but it seems to have managed even the march alternating wheather!

Re: Our crops and nature development 2007
And here is the wheat. The plant are so well developed, and we are denied using straw regulation so I will wait with the first nitrogen until mid April. It is also free from deseases, so not yet any demand for spraying.

The wheat has developed well the last days. Nearly either no weed or need for fungizides! :-)

Re: Our crops and nature development 2007
The spring seeded malt barley comes up fine! We were afraid that the rain after seeding should make the clay hard but no problem.

Re: Our crops and nature development 2007
This is the winter wheat today, may 16th. Due to colder wheather and some rain it develops more normally, and as it looks we are going to test the needs for further nitrogen in the next week.
