Double head IH from1970
Don't know much about the tractor. Photo was taken in 1970 by a cousin in Western Australia. Reckon they could be 706/806. Thoughts much appreciated

Re: Double head IH from1970
Interesting photo's. In Finland our Army make modification's like that in late -60 to early 80 in Valmet tractor's to pull big gun's in the Forest and so on. I must look if i find old picture's of those tractors.

No that's absolutly not a 706 or 806. But a 560 or 660.

Re: Double head IH from1970
In the late 50's and the 60's it was quite common at large farms in Sweden with tandem-tractors. Mostly BM Volvo but even som Fords made by Doe. There has been made tandems of Volvo BM 700 in Denmark in the 70's.

Re: Double head IH from1970
I found this picture on a Swedish free to publish site (www.lantbruk.com - press button "Traktorfrossa").

The tandem is two BM 230 victors - 2 small tractors 30 hp each, total 60 hp.

Re: Double head IH from1970
Was there a 1950 A model Josh (I have a vague recollection of seeing one or seeing one listed in a book somewhere)?

EDIT; Looked up in the 1969/70 Power Farming Technical Annual just now & there were 2 models here of the 1950; the 1950 Four wheel drive El-Toro & the 1950 Wheatland (2wd). Max HP 128 (Engine), 106 PTO.
