Re: Some New Holland stuff
Hi TasCowboy, I wonder whether you live in that part of Australia where the big machines are used for Farming: The 4WD-tractors and the combines with 40' grain-heads? If so please send some photos. I'm especially interested in TR combines because they are very rare here in Europe and even Farmphoto doesn't offer a lot material of this type.

Hi MB Trac 1800 :-)

Where I am in Tasmania (the island state of Australia) our farming isnt as broadacre as parts of mainland Aust. Check out some of my pictures, if you are interested in some of the farm machinery that we use here,

Regards,

TC.

Re: Some New Holland stuff
Hi TasCowboy, I know where Tasmania is ...
I'm relly fascinated of the Tasmanian Tiger - in Germany called "Beutelwolf". Now - is it true that this animal has died out or not? Do you have any new information about this?

Re: Some New Holland stuff
Here we had a cartoon that was called 'Tasmanian Devil' ;-)

Maybe the same as your 'Beutelwolf'? :-)

The picture is from Warner Bros.

Re: Some New Holland stuff
Hi MB trac 1800!

Even I got some models, but most are "overlived" toys. But now I think maybe I've got one model which is something special - I've got the same NH 1550 model as you have!

Unfortunatly there is one part missing, the support for the hedder rake on the right side are missing.

I've got this model when we discussed about buying the NH 1520 back in 1975 I think. Unfortunatly I let some younger relatives play with it and though the missing part.

Re: Some New Holland stuff
To internash: A Tasmanian Devil is completely different from the Tasmanian Tiger. :-). Thanks for your beautiful pic.

To Lennart: ... and the divider at the left side is missing, too:-\. This model is something special indeed. A good one brings at least 300,00 EUR. The average price is 350,00 EUR. I got mine from a collector in France who has the most beautiful collection of combines I've ever seen. There are a few different versions of it but all are very rare. I've only seen models to be sold in the USA and in France until now.
If I were you I would not tinker about the dividers. In my opinion these combines should stay in original condition even if parts are missing. But of course this is only my opinion. :-)
Perhaps there are some other models which are special in your collection ?

Re: Some New Holland stuff
Hi Stark1, No - it is not. Sell it to me and I'll give you 50 EURO - OK? :-D
OK OK - I was joking.:-P. Please post a photo if possible. I'd like to see which version you have. If it is the Bourbon model and it's in good condition the price should be at least 300 EUR.

Re: Some New Holland stuff
I don't have any plans to either modify or anything else wirh my 1550 Bourbon model - it shall stand at the same place in my office shelf as i thave been for the last years, but I should not let any children play with it any more!

For me this model has memories worth more than the money.

Intresting that you have the same model, Stark1!
