Re: Two Ford FWs
Nice machines :-)

I have never seen pics of these in Australia, so maybe they were only released in Europe /USA?

Re: Two Ford FWs
Well we certainly had the Steiger's here, so I guess it must have been some marketing arrangement between Ford & Steiger over there.

Re: Two Ford FWs
Tas: I think Ford had an agreement with Waltanna in that time, so I that is the reason why you didn't see this Steigar Fords in Australia. Look at posts under Waltanna and you will see blue/white Waltannas, both of original type and converted Ford TW's.

This Fords and Steigars is real beasts!

Re: Two Ford FWs
The FW's were Steigers build on specifications by Ford. They were sold mainly in Northern America and Europe. As Lennart says, in Australia Ford had an agreement with Waltanna, so they were not sold overthere. Although the Netherlands are not the ideal country for articulated tractors these FW's sold rather wel overhere. In fact a number of them are still in use by contractors who use them mainly for leveling and deepplowing purposes.
