what ive been driving today. ive had the day off today so ive been to one of my neighbours farm to do a spot of rolling. just finished before it started raining:-) this is his john deere 6910. i absolutly love this tractor. he has also had the injection pump opened up so its now about 160-165hp at the shaft.

ive been rolling in my 6810 at work too, quite wet in places but the beast pulls through :P, also this is 140 -150hp now after being opend up rather alot :P... oh by the way the front linkage was made by us.

are you sure youve got enough power to handle that roll there? are you not at risk of capping the soil in those wet places?

Maybe you could bull a triple gang roller with your "beast"?

1 - no its not gonna cap the soil seems to be ok.

2 - yeah it could pull a tripple roller but its just getting the ground we got isnt the best for anything over 1 roller :P

i was rolling on hilly land here so gang rollers would be a bit awkard to use because of the contours and the fields up here are rather small to. the ground here is surprisingly dry, one or 2 wet patches but in 4wd and the little roller they werent a problem.:-)

Yes, I could imagine that it would be tricky in hilly & undulating land with a triple gang machine, it would be wanting to crab on you a bit, especially in sideling.
