if you compare the mechanic of gear of cvx and vario ,
you understand that cvx is better !

To say the CVX is better as the Vario are words like from a
agent. On the first view it is true that the CVX geer box
transfer more power in mechanical way and you can think it
has a higher efficiency. But is has more mechanical parts
who are running fast and he has an hydrostad off the peg.
When you start, you always have to shift your gears one to
The Vario has only to gearsteps from 0 to about 15 kmh and
from 0 to 50 kmh and he has an excellent hightec hydrostad.
I dicussed with many experts about efficiency and handling
of this transmissions. I think there are two ways an each
has his advantage and his disadvantage!
The picture shows how simple a Fendt Vario gaer box up to
160 hp is!

excuse me , but i must say you that
the gears of vario are :
the first 0-28 kmh
the second 0-40kmh
I think that 0-28 is not very good for heavy
works, when at about 8kmh 80% of power is idraulic!
In cvx at that speed power is fully mechanic .

Excuse me when I named the gear ranges wrong. My numbers
where only examples. You are all wright when you tell that
in the main working speed of the hydo unit of the
Fendt-Vario gaer box is hight. Many discussiones attac this
point. But in many tests I read, the efficiency of a Vario,
cvx and a power shift gaerbox is the same.
Experts say, that the Fendt-Vario-gear-box is constructed
very simple, the hydro unit is a wide-angle engine which is
very exactly produced. The ability to run in two directions
use the Fendt-Vario gaer box to go back and foreward. This
things brings the efficiency.
For example, beween two steps, the hydo-unit in the cvx runs
in the first part backwards and afterwards forewards. This
hight rotation and the hydro-unit off the peg consume
efficiency. The reverse are extra toothed wheel.
I´n not a Vario fun. The evolution goes on! But in the
moment, Fendt has the most experice in Vario and the others
start selling with many problems. Future is stepless also JD
has get it. The better one should win!
